I’m so glad you did not arrive any later
I couldn’t know at the time
how heavy I’d been here without you.
The height of my vision,
the breadth of my scope,
were lengthened and widened
as we interloped.
Now joined in a sanctuary of our own creation
I can feel the golden threads that bind us.
I sense the everlasting winds that wind us,
the ferocious life inside that drives us
and the seething clasp of lust that lies us
Heaven help a force divides us!
